📈 STOCK UP

🔺 We’re In. For the first time since 2011, Penn State softball is headed to the NCAA Tournament! The Nittany Lions earned the No. 3 seed at the Bryan-College Station Regional this weekend. They’ll join 16th seeded Texas A&M, Texas State, and UAlbany in the regional. Penn State will face Texas State on Friday at 4 p.m. on ESPNU.

🔺 Pitt Stop. Penn State baseball will visit Pitt today for its final non-conference game of the season. Both teams are coming off of a winning weekend. Pitt took two of three from No. 8 Florida State, while the Nittany Lions took two of three from Rutgers. They’ll play at 3 p.m. on ACCNX.

🔺 Fantastic Four. Four men’s lacrosse players were named Inside Lacrosse All-Americans — TJ Malone, Alex Ross, Jack Fracyon, and Grant Haus. Malone was named Second Team All-America, Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year, and First Team All-Big Ten. Haus earned a Second Team All-America selection, as well. Fracyon was named Third Team All-America after being tabbed the Big Ten Specialist of the Year for the second-straight season. Ross earned Honorable Mention.

🔺 Stars Of The Week. Track & field runners Florence Caron and Cheikna Traore were named Penn State Student-Athletes of the Week! Caron won both the women’s 10K and 5K titles at the Big Ten Outdoor Track & Field Championships. She’s the first Nittany Lion to win both titles at the conference championships. Traore brought home silver in the men’s 200m with an all-conditions lifetime-best time of 20.05. He has collected four Big Ten conference medals in his lone year at Penn State.

🔺 Bright Future Ahead. Two incoming gymnastics freshmen were named National Champions at Development Program Nationals over the weekend! Allison Kaempfer scored a 9.95 to win the vault title. Elizabeth Leary took home the balance beam title. There’s a lot to look forward to in Happy Valley!
