🔺 Mason’s Mound. Penn State pitcher Mason Horwat was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week! He threw seven shutout innings in total to help the Nittany Lions sweep Maryland. He fired four shutout innings on Thursday and earned the save. On Friday, he closed the game with three scoreless frames.

🔺 Omaha, Omaha. Penn State baseball will take on the Big Ten Conference Tournament this week! They’ll take on No. 1 seed Illinois tonight at 7 p.m. at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska. The Nittany Lions are coming off of a weekend sweep of Maryland. Fans can watch the game on Big Ten Network and the FOX Sports app.

🔺 Come On Home. Wrestling head coach Cael Sanderson named former Nittany Lion Nick Lee as assistant coach! He was Penn State’s first five-time All-American and was part of three NCAA team championship squads. He finished as runner-up at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials last month.

🔺 She’s Back. Penn State women’s gymnast Gabbie Gallentine has announced that she will return for her fifth season! At the Ann Arbor Regional Finals of the 2024 NCAA Gymnastics Championships, she helped Penn State put up one of the top bar totals in program history as she scored a 9.90.
