🔺 From Penn To Pros. A handful of Nittany Lions heard their names called in the NFL Draft over the weekend! Caedan Wallace was drafted by the New England Patriots in the third round and 68th overall. Adisa Isaac was selected shortly after as the Baltimore Ravens drafted him in the third round and 93rd overall. Theo Johnson was taken by the New York Giants in the fourth round, Hunter Nourzad was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the fifth round, Daequan Hardy went to the Buffalo Bills in the sixth round, and Kalen King was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the seventh round.

🔺 Keep Pushing. The 10th-ranked men’s lacrosse team is moving on to the Big Ten semifinal! They defeated Rutgers in the quarterfinal on Saturday, 14-8. Jack Fracyon recorded 18 saves in the win, he’s now gone 10 games holding a team to under 10 goals. This was the first Big Ten Tournament quarterfinal win in program history! They’ll play Maryland on Thursday night at 8 pm.

🔺 Gritty Nitty. The women’s lacrosse team also got a big win to advance to the Big Ten Semifinal! They defeated Ohio State 15-3 on Saturday to improve to 10-6 this season. Gretchen Gilmore led the team with four goals and recorded an assist. The gritty defense caused six turnovers and scooped 17 ground balls. They’ll play Rutgers on Thursday at 5:30 pm in Evanston, Illinois.

🔺 Started Strong. The baseball team completed a comeback win over Minnesota on Friday. The Gophers grabbed the lead early, going up 3-0 in the third inning. Penn State didn’t let it last though, they started chipping into the deficit in the sixth inning. They took the lead in the seventh after Tayven Kelley’s single brought in two runs. Will Perkowski earned the win on the mound after taking over in the seventh. He struck out one in a scoreless frame. Anthony Steele earned save after administering three strikeouts. The Nittany Lions dropped Saturday and Sunday’s contests.

🔺 Bonjour, Olympics. Women’s fencer Samantha Catantan is headed to Paris! She qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics and will represent the Philippines. She won the Asia-Oceania Zonal Olympic Qualifier to qualify. She’s the first fencer from the Philippines to make the Olympics since 1992.
