🔺 Lions Roar. No. 8 Penn State football took down Bowling Green, 34-27, in their home opener. Tight end Tyler Warren set a school record for receiving yards in a game by tight end with 146 yards while setting a career-high with eight receptions. Drew Allar threw for 204 yards and two touchdowns.

🔺 Cheers To The Sweepin’ Weekend. No. 7 Penn State volleyball had a winning weekend at the Kentucky Invitational! They might’ve been an away team, but they won the tournament with a reverse sweep over No. 9 Kentucky and a sweep over Ball State.

🔺 All Tied Up. No. 8 women’s soccer went head-to-head with No. 23 Georgetown at their place all game long. Neither team could score as the match ended in a 0-0 draw. Penn State outshot the Hoyas 13-12. The Nittany Lions have been unbeaten for five straight matches.

🔺 It’s Tricky. Field hockey took down Delaware, 5-4, yesterday. Phia Gladieux pieced together a hat trick, scoring three goals. Julienne van Bekkum and Katelyn Strawser scored the other two Nittany Lion goals.

🔺 Locked In. Cross country started the season at the Dolan Duals, hosted by Lock Haven over the weekend. Penn State swept both the men’s and women’s races! Faith DeMars won the women’s race, while Nick Sloff won the men’s 6k.

🔺 Medaling Lions. Four Nittany Lion wrestlers competed at the U20 World Championships in Spain! Three of those four brought home medals, and all four finished in the top five at their weights. Luke Lilledahl won the U20 crown at 57 kg, Zack Ryder took silver at 79 kg, and Josh Barr earned silver at 86 kg. Connor Mirasola was one win shy of a medal at 92 kg.
