🔺 Win, Win, Win. Penn State women’s volleyball went 3-0 over the weekend at the Penn State Invitational against Western Kentucky, Colgate and James Madison.

Katie Schumacher-Cawley’s crew dropped just two sets all weekend. They beat Western Kentucky 3-1 in the opener, swept Colgate in the middle matchup and topped James Madison 3-1 in the finale.

It was a big weekend for Jess Mruzik, who collected her 1,000th career kill against Colgate and registered 26 more against James Madison.

🔺 Keep On Rollin’. The win streak is now at five for No. 6 Penn State women’s soccer, as it took care of Monmouth 4-1 on Sunday.

Three first-half goals put plenty of distance between the Nittany Lions and Hawks — Cori Dyke, Riley Gleason and Olivia Borgen scored in the first half, before Olivia Damico scored in the 54th minute to make it 4-0.

🔺 Split Decision. No. 5 Penn State field hockey split a pair of West Coast matchups against Cal and Stanford over the weekend.

The Nittany Lions dropped a thriller in double overtime to the Bears on Friday, 3-2. Sophia Gladieux provided the two goals for Penn State in the loss.

On Sunday, the Blue & White picked up a convincing 5-1 win over Stanford. Gladieux again scored twice, as did Carly Gannon, and Drew Taylor added one, too.

Faith DeMars won the women’s 4K with a time of 13:39.6. Ryan Watson won the men’s 6K in a PR time of 17:48.5.

🔺 Undefeated Holiday Weekend. No. 20 Penn State men’s soccer went 1-0-1 over the weekend against No. 1 Syracuse and St. John’s.

The Nittany Lions and Orange traded second-half goals in their Friday night matchup, which ended in a 1-1 draw. Caden Grabfelder scored in the 88th minute for Penn State, but Syracuse answered shortly after to tie the match.
