This week's featured Nittany Lion In The Pros, brought to you by AmeriGas, is Parker Washington! Washington returned a punt 87 yards for a touchdown in a 26-21 win for the Jacksonville Jaguars over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.
📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Sweep Skates. No. 8 Penn State women’s hockey finished off a sweep of No. 9 St. Lawrence on Friday at Pegula Ice Arena, winning 5-2 with the help of three third period goals.
With the pair of opening weekend wins, the Nittany Lions are 2-0 for the first time since the 2020-21 season.

🔺 Hosting LA. No. 15 Penn State women’s volleyball hosted both No. 17 USC and UCLA over the weekend at Rec Hall, beating the Trojans in five sets on Friday before falling to the Bruins in four sets on Sunday.

🔺 B1G Road Win. No. 18 Penn State women’s soccer added another tally to the win column on Sunday, beating Northwestern, 2-1, in Evanston, Ill.
Amelia White and Molly Martin both scored goals for the Nittany Lions.

🔺 One Up, One Down. Penn State field hockey split a pair of games over the weekend, picking up a Big Ten win over Michigan State on Friday before dropping a close 3-2 game at No. 6 Syracuse on Sunday afternoon.
Olivia Marthins and Ella Jennes each scored a fourth-quarter goal against the Spartans to give the Nittany Lions a 2-0 win.

🔺 Marathon Game. No. 3/2 Penn State football’s comeback attempt fell short in double overtime, with the Nittany Lions falling by a 30-24 margin to No. 6/5 Oregon in front of 111,015 fans, the second-most in West Shore Home Field at Beaver Stadium history.
Trailing 17-3 midway through the fourth quarter, Penn State outgained the Ducks 142-71 in total yardage over the final 15 minutes of regulation. Senior wide receiver Devonte Ross came up with two touchdowns late in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 17 apiece.
🦁 ONE BIG THING

🔺 Fall Ball. Penn State baseball swept its fall doubleheader against Villanova over the weekend at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, scoring 12 runs in two games against the Wildcats.
The Nittany Lions continue their fall ball schedule on Friday, Oct. 10 when they host Team Ontario. Penn State concludes its Fall slate on Friday, Oct. 17 against Bucknell.
