🔺 Off And Skating! No. 8 Penn State women’s hockey opened its season with an emphatic win over No. 9 St. Lawrence on Thursday, scoring three first-period goals to win 3-0.
Katie DeSa had her 14th career shutout and three different scorers found the back of the net for the Nittany Lions.

🔺 West Comes East. No. 15 Penn State women’s volleyball will play a pair of Big Ten matches over the weekend, welcoming USC (9-1) to Rec Hall today at 8 p.m. and UCLA (6-4) on Sunday at noon on Big Ten Network.

🔺 Here And There. Penn State field hockey will play twice this weekend, hosting Michigan State (3-4) today at 4 p.m. in a nationally-televised Big Ten Network matchup before hitting the road to play at Syracuse (6-2) on Sunday at noon.

🔺 High-Scoring Match. Penn State women’s soccer fell on the road at Illinois on Thursday, 4-3.
The Nittany Lions will stay in the state of Illinois over the weekend, taking on Northwestern in Evanston on Sunday at 2 p.m.

🔺 B1G Honors. Penn State men’s hockey had a trio of Big Ten preseason honorees, announced on Thursday — Aiden Fink and Mac Gadowsky were both named preseason First-Team All-Big Ten, while incoming freshman Gavin McKenna was named to the second-team!
