🔺 Conference Clash. No. 4 Penn State women’s volleyball opens up Big Ten play today with a top-10 matchup, traveling to the state of Indiana to take on No. 10 Purdue at 7 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.
The Boilermakers are 9-2 on the season, with both losses coming last week to No. 10 Kansas and No. 9 Creighton.
🔺 Triple Dip. For the third time already this season, Penn State women’s volleyball’s Izzy Starck is the Big Ten Freshman of the Week!
Starck averaged 11.71 assists per set last week at the Penn State Classic while leading the team to .351 hitting, including 47 assists, 12 digs, five kills, two aces and two blocks against Yale.
🔺 Lucky Seven. Penn State women’s golf played the final round of the Cavalier Regional Preview on Tuesday, finishing in seventh place as a team and just one shot out of fifth place.
Freshman Jiratchaya Jiratthitinun paced the Nittany Lions, earning her first top-10 finish in a tie for sixth at 1-under at Birdwood Golf Course in Charlottesville.
🔺 Comeback Complete. Despite falling behind 1-0 at halftime against St. John’s on Tuesday, Penn State men’s soccer stormed back in the second half, scoring a pair of goals to earn the 2-1 win.
Matthew Henderson got the Nittany Lions on the board in the 75th minute, and Michael Hewes connected on the game-winning score in the 81st minute.
