🔺 Heartbreaker At Home. No. 3 Penn State women’s soccer held a 1-0 lead at halftime over No. 21 Virginia on Thursday, but two second-half goals from the Cavaliers gave the visitors the 2-1 victory.

Kaitlyn MacBean provided the offense for the Nittany Lions, scoring in her fifth consecutive match dating back to last season.

Penn State next takes the pitch this Sunday, hosting West Chester at 1 p.m.

🔺 Off And Running. Penn State men’s soccer had the tall task of traveling to South Carolina to take on No. 1 Clemson to begin its season on Thursday, and fell 3-0 to the defending national champions.

The Nittany Lions are back in action this Sunday, when they host Army for their home opener at Jeffrey Field at 5 p.m.

🔺 Eight Is Great. Only 8 more days until Penn State football is back on the field!

Former Big Ten Receiver of the Year Allen Robinson wore No. 8 for the Nittany Lions from 2011-13, catching 177 passes for 2,479 yards and 17 touchdowns during that time!
