Walking, running, or hiking outdoors can be an enjoyable and effective way to meet your fitness goals during the summer months. Health experts recommend at least 150 minutes of moderate physical activity each week to support overall well-being. It’s normal to feel some muscle soreness after exercising—especially when tackling a new route or unfamiliar terrain. Over-the-counter anti-inflammatories, acetaminophen, or ice packs can provide relief. However, if your pain exceeds a three on a scale from zero to 10, or if it lingers for more than a few days, it’s time to consult a health care provider. Persistent pain could be a sign of injury that requires medical attention.

🔺 Nittany Lion QB. We have 17 days until Penn State football is back on the field for its season opener at home against Nevada on August 30!

Daryll Clark, who wore No. 17 for the Nittany Lions from 2006-09, threw for 5,742 yards and 43 touchdowns and was twice named a First Team All-Big Ten selection.

🦁 ONE BIG THING

🔺 Top-Three. A trio of Penn State women’s soccer players earned Big Ten Player to Watch recognition this week, while the Nittany Lions were picked to finish third in a preseason poll of the league’s coaches.

Graduate forward Kaitlyn MacBean, redshirt junior midfielder Molly Martin and senior forward Amelia White picked up preseason recognition from the league office as Big Ten Players to Watch.
