🔺 Top Trio. Penn State defensive end Dani Dennis-Sutton, defensive tackle Zane Durant and cornerback A.J. Harris have all been named to the Bednarik Award watch list!

🔺 The Vote Is In. A pair of preseason polls were released on Monday, and Penn State football was highly-ranked in both — the Nittany Lions are No. 2 in the preseason AP Top 25 and No. 3 in the FWAA-NFF Super 16 Poll!

Last week, Penn State wrestling’s Carter Starocci was voted onto the next round over Penn State men’s hockey’s Arsenii Sergeev in the first Elite Eight Matchup.

ELITE EIGHT MATCHUP #2:

  • Penn State field hockey’s Sophia Gladieux: Gladieux scored four goals against Kent State and Princeton and assisted on two more, moving her points per game total to 3.67 this season — tied for tops in the NCAA at that time.

  • Penn State women’s hockey’s Katie DeSa: DeSa collected 44 saves in a pair of shutout wins against Robert Morris in November, her second and third shutouts of the season at that time.

🔺 Dominant On The D-Line. We have 18 days until Penn State football is back on the field for its season opener at home against Nevada on August 30!

Deion Barnes, who wore No. 18 for the Nittany Lions from 2012-14, collected 99 tackles, including 27 for loss and 14 sacks during his Penn State career. Barnes currently serves as the defensive line coach for the Nittany Lions.
