🔺 Running Away With It. Penn State track and field’s Florence Caron has been named a First Team Academic All-American!

Caron is one of just 15 Division I women’s track and field/cross country student-athletes nationwide to earn first-team Academic All-America honors. She is now a two-time Academic All-American after earning second-team plaudits as a junior.

  • Penn State women’s hockey’s Katie DeSa: DeSa collected 44 saves in a pair of shutout wins against Robert Morris in November, her second and third shutouts of the season at that time.

  • Penn State men’s lacrosse’s Reid Gills: Gills was outstanding in the Nittany Lions’ 13-11 win over Colgate in the NCAA First Round, winning 21-of-28 faceoff attempts against the Raiders.

Curtis Enis, who wore No. 39 for the Nittany Lions from 1995-97, was a dominant running back for Penn State. Enis rushed for 3,256 yards and 36 touchdowns as a Nittany Lion, earning All-American honors and a fifth place finish in Heisman Trophy voting after the 1997 season.
