🔺 Pro Ball Players. Penn State baseball tied a program record on Monday with five players selected in the 2025 MLB Draft!

Paxton Kling — Seventh Round (Texas Rangers)
Ryan Weingartner — Eighth Round (St. Louis Cardinals)
Ryan DeSanto — 12th Round (Cleveland Guardians)
Chase Renner — 13th Round (Miami Marlins)
Bryce Molinaro — 17th Round (Washington Nationals)

  • Penn State football’s Tyler Warren: Warren caught 17 passes in an overtime win at USC, which is tied for the most ever by a tight end in NCAA history, for 224 yards, the most ever by a Big Ten tight end.

  • Penn State fencing’s Mohamed Yasseen: In Yasseen’s first collegiate competition, the Tanta, Egypt native finished on top of the men’s epee leaderboard at the Nikke Franke Open with a 15-7 win over NYU’s Ajit Sivakumar.

🔺 Scholarly Lions. One hundred fifty Penn State student-athletes earned Big Ten Distinguished Scholar honors, the conference announced Monday. Of the 150, 31 student athletes were recognized for achieving perfect 4.0s.

🔺 On The Line. We have 46 days until Penn State football is back on the field for its season opener at home against Nevada on August 30!

Nick Tarburton, who wore No. 46 for the Nittany Lions from 2018-22, made 13 starts in his senior season, recording 9.5 tackles for loss and a pair of sacks.
