🔺 Bigger than us. Penn State women’s volleyball head coach Katie Schumacher-Cawley is the recipient of the 2025 Jimmy V Award, as announced by the Jimmy V Foundation on Monday. The award will officially be presented to Schumacher-Cawley at the 2025 ESPYS at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Wednesday, July 16. The event will air live on ABC starting at 8 p.m. ET.

🏈 COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF — 60 DAYS

🔺 Penn State Great. We have 60 days until Penn State football is back on the field for its season opener at home against Nevada on August 30!

Wearing No. 60 for Penn State from 1976-79, Matt Millen was a four-year letter-winner at defensive tackle and an All-American in 1978 for the Nittany Lions. Millen ended his Penn State career with 22 sacks and 36 tackles for loss.

  • Penn State baseball’s Joe Jaconski: Jaconski had six hits in 13 at-bats in two Nittany Lion wins during opening weekend in Puerto Rico, while getting on base at a .500 clip and slugging .846 with a pair of doubles and a home run.

  • Penn State women’s hockey’s Grace Outwater: Outwater, a true freshman, scored the first two goals of her career in a 4-1 win over Dartmouth, playing a vital role in securing a sweep of the Big Green.
