🔺 On Your (Final) Marks. This is it for Penn State track and field — the Nittany Lions are in Eugene, Oregon this week for the NCAA Championships!

Competition at Hayward Field will run from June 5-8, with five Penn Staters set to participate individually: Cheickna Traore (200m), Handal Roban (800m), Yukichi Ishii (800m), Florence Caron (10,000m), and Hayley Kitching (800m).

Pat Abel and Olivier Desmeules will join Traore and Roban on the 4×400m relay team at the NCAA Championships.

🔺 Stepping Up. Penn State women’s basketball head coach Carolyn Kieger has announced the promotion of Adrienne Motley!

Motley, who played for Kieger at the University of Miami, will now serve as an assistant coach after holding the director of player development title this past season.

🔺 Cats In The Classroom. The NCAA has released its most recent Academic Progress Report, and Penn State student-athletes continue to stand out in the classroom!

Penn State’s all-sport multi-year APR for 2022-23 was 989, which is above the national average of 984. Nineteen Penn State teams earned perfect APR scores of 1,000 during the 2022-23 academic year.
