🔺 Phia In Paris. Penn State’s Sophia Gladieux will represent United States Field Hockey at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games!

Gladieux has been a First Team All-American the past three seasons, and is fourth all-time in scoring at Penn State with 158 career points.

Additionally, former Penn State goalie Jenny Rizzo has been named a provisional athlete for the team and will travel to Paris.

🔺 Run The Region. The American Baseball Coaches Association released its All-Region teams on Tuesday, and three Nittany Lions made an appearance!

Adam Cecere and J.T. Marr were both named First Team All-East Region, while Travis Luensmann was selected to the second team.

🔺 Scoop And Score. It was Nov. 19, 2022. Rutgers was in the red zone, trying to make it a game against No. 11 Penn State.

And then Ji’Ayir Brown happened — Brown scooped up a strip sack and ran it back 80 yards for a Nittany Lion touchdown, stretching the lead to four possessions in an eventual 55-10 win over the Scarlet Knights.

Only 80 more days until Penn State football is back on the field!

🔺 Etched His Name. Penn State’s Darius Smallwood decided he didn’t want the NCAA Championships to be the end of his season, so he decided to run at the Portland Track Festival right after — and ran a 1:46.17 in the 800m to move into sixth place all-time at Penn State!

🔺 In Charge. Penn State men’s tennis has its new head coach — Bruce Lipka has been hired to lead the program, and brings with him 36 years of coaching experience, including mentoring multiple Grand Slam champions, eight NCAA champions and more than 20 Top-100 ATP and WTA Tour players.
