Carey won the men’s javelin title last week at the USATF U20 Championships, earning a spot on Team USA for the World U20 Championships in the process.

🔺 Signed, Sealed, Delivered! Penn State women’s basketball head coach Tanisha Wright has announced the signing of Irene Garcia to the 2026-27 roster!

The freshman arrives in Happy Valley from Urnieta, Baque Country, Spain. García played for Segle XXI Academy, a renowned government-backed elite female basketball academy near Barcelona, Spain.

🔺 Red, White & Blue! A pair of incoming Penn State men’s volleyball freshmen will compete with USA Volleyball in the upcoming 2026 Men’s U21 Pan American Cup!

Middle blocker Isiah Powell and libero Drake Foley will represent USA at the event, while another incoming freshman, middle blocker Luc Soerensen, will serve as an alternate.

🔺 Winning Ways! Former Penn State women’s volleyball All-Americans Simone Lee-Wank and Micha Hancock played for the United States again last week in the Volleyball Nations League, helping lead the Americans to a 4-0 week with wins over Dominican Republic, Czechia, Italy and Serbia.
