🔺 Big Swings. Michigan baseball scored three runs in the top of the eighth inning on Thursday to take a 5-3 lead against Penn State in the Big Ten Tournament.

How did the Nittany Lions respond?

By scoring six runs in the bottom half of the inning, highlighted by Bryce Molinaro’s towering grand slam to take the lead back!

Penn State went on to win, 9-5, and now sits at 2-0 in the Big Ten Tournament, and awaits the winner of a Michigan-Illinois matchup on Saturday.

🔺 Faster Than You. Penn State track and field is through two days at the NCAA East Preliminaries, with several standout performances.

As you could imagine, one of those performances came from Cheickna Traore on Day 1, with the sprinter lowering his school record in the 200-meter dash with a time of 20.17.

Thursday was the women’s turn, highlighted by Hayley Kitching qualifying for the finals in the 800m with a time of 2:04.12 and both Maddie Ullom and Kileigh Kane moving on in the 1500m.

🔺 Lift For Life. Penn State’s annual “Lift for Life,” the signature of the Penn State Uplifting Athletes chapter, is set for Thursday, June 13 in Holuba Hall!

🔺 Not One, Not Two... But FIVE members of the Penn State men’s lacrosse team garnered All-American honors from the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association on Thursday — TJ Malone, Grant Haus and Jack Fracyon were all named to the Second Team, while Mac Costin and Alex Ross were named Honorable Mention.

And on top of the men’s honors, Penn State women’s lacrosse had a pair of players recognized as All-Americans on Thursday — Kristin O’Neill was named a second team member, and Ellie Hollin landed on the third team!
