🔺 Down Goes No. 1. No. 8 seed Penn State baseball didn’t bat an eye at its matchup with No. 1 seed Illinois in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament on Wednesday, keeping its foot on the gas throughout in a 8-4 win over the Illini!

Starter Travis Luensmann was great in his five innings of work, striking out seven and allowing just one run, while 2-3-4 hitters J.T. Marr, Adam Cecere and Bobby Marsh combined for seven RBI.

The Nittany Lions advance on to the winner’s bracket, where they will face Michigan today at 7 p.m. The Wolverines beat Iowa in their Big Ten Tournament opener on Wednesday.
