🔺 Big Ten Champs! No. 2 seed Penn State men’s lacrosse upset No. 1 seed Johns Hopkins in the Big Ten Tournament championship game on Saturday, beating the Blue Jays, 16-8, to claim its second tournament title in program history!
Big Ten Tournament Most Outstanding Player Hunter Aquino delivered on the big stage once again for the Nittany Lions, leading his squad with four points on two goals and two assists.
And on Sunday, the Nittany Lions punched their ticket to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth consecutive year, earning the No. 8 seed and a first-round matchup against Army on Saturday, May 9!

🥍 NCAA TOURNAMENT: Penn State Earns Fourth Consecutive NCAA Tournament Bid

🔺 We’re In! Penn State women’s lacrosse will play in the NCAA Tournament in its first season under head coach Kayla Treanor!
The Nittany Lions have earned an at-large bid and are set to travel to Ann Arbor, Mich. where the seventh-seed Michigan Wolverines will host the first round on Friday, May 8, and the second round, Sunday, May 10. Penn State will first take on the Stanford Cardinal at 6 p.m. on Friday at the UM Lacrosse Stadium.

🔺 Capped A Great Career! No. 15 Penn State men’s volleyball battled No. 6 UC Irvine for five sets on Friday night in the Regional Round of the 2026 NC Men’s Volleyball Championship, dropping the fifth set to end the season at 22-8 overall.
The match marked the end of the illustrious career of head coach Mark Pavlik, who led Penn State for 32 seasons. He finished third in the history of collegiate men’s volleyball with 716 career wins. His Penn State teams played in 26 NCAA Tournaments, advanced to the National Semifinal 21 times, and won the 2008 National Championship. Pavlik won one National Coach of the Year honor and was an 11-time EIVA Coach of the Year.

🔺 Newest Nittany Lion! Penn State men’s hoops has announced the addition of sharp-shooting wing Brant Byers to the 2026-27 roster!
Byers, an integral part of the Miami (Ohio) undefeated regular season and the 2025 MAC Freshman of the Year, returns home to Pennsylvania with two seasons of eligibility remaining.

🔺 Welcome To The Group! Penn State women’s basketball has inked transfer Devyn Quigley for the 2026-27 season!
Quigley joins the Lady Lions after spending the last two seasons at NC State, where she started six games last season.

🔺 B1G Finish! Penn State men’s golf closed out play at the Big Ten Championships in North Plains, Ore., on Sunday, finishing in a tie for sixth place at 16-over par!
Alex Creamean was the big mover of the day, climbing 36 spots on Sunday after firing a bogey-free, 3-under, 67, following rounds of 74 and 73 to finish the week tied for 23rd at 4-over, 214.

🔺 Sunday Bounce Back! Penn State baseball earned a win on Sunday against Minnesota, beating the Gophers 4-3 at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park after dropping the first two games of the series.
Isaiah Shayter limited the Gophers to one run over five innings before the Nittany Lions broke out with three runs in the sixth, including a two-run homer by Jesse Jaconski.

🔺 Closing Time. Penn State softball hosted No. 3 Nebraska over the weekend in the final series of regular season play, dropping three games to the Cornhuskers at Nittany Lion Softball Park & Beard Field.
Next up for Penn State is the Big Ten Tournament, which begins with a matchup against Northwestern this Wednesday in College Park, Md.
