🔺 Took Extras. It took a couple extra innings, but by the time the ninth inning was over on Tuesday, Penn State softball earned a 3-2 win over in-state rival Saint Francis.

The winning run came by way of walk-off wild pitch after Michela Barbanente worked a five-pitch walk. Bridget Nemeth earned her 21st win of the season on the mound, and the Lady Lions snapped Saint Francis’ 18-game win streak.

🔺 Country Roads. Penn State baseball has a big-time midweek contest today, welcoming West Virginia to town for a 5:30 p.m. first pitch.

The Mountaineers are 23-16 on the season and 11-7 in Big 12 play.

Kerr played a large part in the Nittany Lions’ run to a second consecutive EIVA Tournament title over the weekend, averaging 6.25 kills and 2.13 digs per set.
