🔺 We Are. Champs! Penn State men’s volleyball is the champion of the EIVA Tournament for the second year in a row, beating George Mason 3-1 in Saturday’s championship match to claim the title at Rec Hall.

The win moved the Nittany Lions to 23-6 on the season, and earned them their 34th EIVA Tournament title in program history. John Kerr was named Tournament MVP, while Toby Ezeonu, Michael Schwob and Michael Valenzi joined him on the All-Tournament Team.

🔺 Strong Finish. No. 10 Penn State men’s lacrosse finished up its regular season in a big way, beating Rutgers 15-9 to earn itself a 9-3 record overall and 3-2 mark in Big Ten action.

With the win, the Nittany Lions have earned the No. 3 seed in the Big Ten Tournament, and will host a rematch against No. 6 seed Rutgers on Saturday, April 27.

🔺 Rubber Match Win. After splitting the first two games of its series at Wisconsin, Penn State softball dominated in Sunday’s deciding Game 3, winning 10-2 to claim its fourth Big Ten series of the season.

The Lady Lions led 3-1 heading into the sixth inning on Sunday, and a six-run sixth split the game open.

🔺 Sunday Winner. Penn State baseball finished the weekend strong against Michigan State, winning 11-9 on Sunday to avoid a sweep.

The Nittany Lions jumped ahead 7-0 in the fourth inning, but the Spartans tied things up in the sixth. A three-run home run from Bryce Molinaro in the top of the ninth proved to be the difference.

🔺 Sunday Funday. Penn State women’s golfer Michelle Cox shot a 3-under 69 in Sunday’s final round of the Big Ten Championships, leaping 19 spots on the leaderboard to finish in a tie for 23rd at 3-over.

The Lady Lions finished in a tie for 13th as a team, shooting a collective score of 38-over par.

🔺 Bronze On Bars. Penn State men’s gymnast Josh Karnes left his mark at the 2024 NCAA Championships, scoring a 14.666 on the parallel bars to earn a bronze medal and All-American status in the event.

Karnes also finished fifth in the all-around competition, earning All-American honors in that event as well.

🔺 Challenge Accepted. Penn State track and field ran and jumped well at the Virginia Challenge over the weekend, its last event before heading to Philadelphia for the Penn Relays on Thursday.

🔺 Split Series. Penn State men’s tennis picked up its first conference win of the season over the weekend, taking down Wisconsin, 4-3, on Friday.

The Nittany Lions fell to Nebraska on Sunday, 7-0, to wrap up their regular season.

The Penn State women’s tennis team dropped a pair of matches to Illinois and Northwestern, setting up a matchup with Iowa on Thursday in the Big Ten Tournament.
