🔺 Upset City. No. 19 Penn State women’s lacrosse grabbed a bunch of momentum heading into postseason play on Thursday, upsetting No. 11 Johns Hopkins, 16-13, to finish the regular season at 3-2 in Big Ten play and clinch the No. 2 seed in the Big Ten Tournament.

Kayla Abernathy, Lauren Saltz and Gretchen Gilmore all had hat tricks for the Lady Lions in the win.

🔺 Championship Bound. No. 8 Penn State men’s volleyball picked up a 3-1 win over Harvard on Thursday in the semifinals of the EIVA Tournament at Rec Hall, advancing to Saturday’s championship against George Mason.

🔺 Good Knight. Penn State men’s lacrosse finishes up its regular season with a trip to Piscataway, N.J. today for a 6 p.m. game against Rutgers on the Big Ten Network.

Tonight’s matchup is an important one for seeding in the Big Ten Tournament — the Nittany Lions (2-2) are currently one game ahead of the Scarlet Knights (1-3) in the conference standings.

🔺 Badger Ball. Penn State softball continues its five-game Big Ten road swing with a three-game series at Wisconsin this weekend.

Despite dropping a pair against Ohio State earlier this week, the Lady Lions have held steady toward the top of the conference standings at 9-5, while the Badgers are currently 5-9 in Big Ten play.

🔺 Spartan Series. For the second weekend in a row, Penn State baseball is out on the road, this time at Michigan State for a three-game series.

The Spartans are 3-6 in Big Ten play and 15-19 overall, but are coming off a 12-2 run-rule victory over Western Michigan in their midweek contest on Wednesday.

🔺 Postseason Pins. Penn State women’s golf begins postseason play this weekend, traveling to Havre de Grace, Md. for the Big Ten Championships.

Bulle Rock Golf Club will host the event for the first time.

🔺 Championship Chance. Penn State men’s gymnastics is in Columbus, Ohio today and tomorrow, competing at the NCAA Championships!

Today will serve as a qualifying round, and Saturday’s competition the finals.

🔺 Up For The Challenge. Penn State track and field is right back in the blocks this weekend, competing at the Virginia Challenger in Charlottesville, Va.

This weekend will serve as the final competition before the Nittany Lions head to the prestigious Penn Relays next weekend in Philadelphia.

🔺 Court Is In Session. Both Penn State men’s and women’s tennis have a pair of Big Ten matches this weekend — the men are on the road at Wisconsin and Nebraska, while the women will host Illinois and Northwestern.
