📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Acting Upset. The task of going on the road and playing at No. 4 Maryland didn’t phase No. 24 Penn State women’s lacrosse over the weekend, and the Lady Lions upset the Terps, 12-11!

Penn State fell behind 6-3 after the first quarter and trailed 7-3 at halftime, but a 6-1 advantage in the third quarter tipped the scales. Kristin O’Neill and Gretchen Gilmore both collected hat tricks in the win.

🔺 Home Finale. No. 11 Penn State men’s lacrosse finished its home slate in style on Saturday, beating Michigan 14-8 to move to 8-3 overall and 2-2 in Big Ten play.

Jack Fracyon was the man of the match, recording a career-high 19 saves against the Wolverines. On the scoring end, TJ Malone led the way with five goals and two assists, and Kyle Lehman added a hat trick of his own.

🔺 Taste Of Fall. The White squad picked up a 27-0 win over the Blue squad on Saturday at Penn State football’s annual Blue-White Game presented by Highmark — check out the standouts from the game!

🔺 Winning Weekend. Penn State softball picked up another Big Ten series win this weekend, taking two-of-three against Michigan State to move to 30-9 overall and 9-3 in conference action.

It is the first time since 2016 that the Lady Lions have won four consecutive Big Ten series.

🔺 Conference Champs. For the third season in a row, No. 8 Penn State men’s volleyball is the undefeated EIVA conference champion!

The Nittany Lions took down No. 16 George Mason twice over the weekend to clinch the perfect conference slate and extend its overall conference win streak to 38 matches.

🔺 Record Breakers. A pair of Nittany Lion runners broke school records over the weekend — Florence Caron took down the women’s 5K record at the Bryan Clay Invite, while Hayley Kitching broke the 800m mark at the Australian Athletics Championships.

🔺 One Up. Penn State baseball played a roller coaster series at Indiana over the weekend, winning by 11 in Game 1, losing Game 3 by nine runs, and dropping a 10-9 heartbreaker in the middle.

The Nittany Lions hit seven home runs in their win — two from Bryce Molinaro and one from Joe Jaconski, Bobby Marsh, J.T. Marr, Adam Cecere and Grant Norris.

🔺 Like Fine Nine. For the ninth year in a row, Penn State men’s golf is the champion of the Rutherford Intercollegiate Championship, shooting a final round 6-under to claim a 10-stroke win over the field at the Penn State Blue Course.

The Penn State women played at the Buckeye Invitational, finishing in 11th place in its final regular season tournament of the season.

🔺 Court Storm. Penn State men’s and women’s tennis both failed to pick up wins over the weekend, losing a pair of matches to Big Ten opponents.

The men fell at home to Michigan and Michigan State, while the women dropped matches on the road at Nebraska and Iowa.

🔺 Once And Always. Kathy (Phillips) Drysdale, a former Lady Lion basketball standout and long-time employee in Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, passed away Friday, April 12 at the age of 53.
