🔺 Grabbed Momentum. Penn State softball remained undefeated at home over the weekend and got back to .500 in Big Ten play, sweeping Rutgers in its three-game series at Nittany Lion Softball Park & Beard Field.

After winning Game 1 by a 2-1 final score, the Nittany Lion bats exploded for 23 runs over the final two games of the series, setting the program record for single-season home runs in the final game at 54 round-trippers.

🔺 Muscle Flexed. No. 10 Penn State men’s lacrosse earned another ranked win on Sunday, traveling to Michigan and beating the No. 13 Wolverines, 11-8.

Matt Traynor scored two goals in the game, including the 100th of his career. Jack Aimone and Liam Matthews also found the net twice.

🔺 Extra Effort. The first four quarters weren’t enough to name a winner between Penn State women’s lacrosse and Ohio State, but when the overtime dust settled on Sunday, the Nittany Lions earned a 12-11 win over the Buckeyes.

Emma Kelly and Payton Wainman both recorded three goals and an assist in the winning effort.

🔺 Sweep Sweep Sweep. Penn State baseball traveled to Minnesota and swept the Gophers over the weekend, scoring 30 runs over the three-game series, including 15 in Sunday’s finale.

The Nittany Lions hit six home runs on Sunday — two from Bryce Molinaro and one each from Jack Porter, Joe Jaconski, Ryan Weingartner and Nate Voss.

🔺 Silver Finish. Penn State men’s gymnastics secured its best finish at the Big Ten Championships since 2019 over the weekend, scoring 323.850 as a team to place second.

The Nittany Lions also advanced seven athletes to the individual championships on Saturday, with Josh Karnes earning his second-consecutive conference title on parallel bars.

🔺 Sweet Sweep. Penn State men’s volleyball earned a pair of EIVA wins over the weekend, dropping just one set in its two wins over Sacred Heart in Rec Hall South Gym.

🔺 Got The W. Penn State men’s tennis got back in the win column on Sunday, taking down Mercyhurst, 7-0, in the team’s final non-conference matchup of the regular season.

Sam Bossem, Marcus Schoeman, Shri Murugesan, Nolan Ranger and Denys Forgaci all won in straight sets against the Lakers.

🔺 Up And Down. Penn State men’s golf competed at the Mason Rudolph Championship over the weekend at the Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tenn., finishing eighth in the 14-team field at 5-over.

Jake Griffin led the Nittany Lions at 6-under, finishing in a tie for 13th individually.

🔺 Back-To-Back. For the second season in a row, Penn State women’s hockey’s Tessa Janecke has earned an All-USCHO Second Team honor!

Janecke led the Nittany Lions with 53 points on 24 goals and 29 assists, and became the school’s hockey (men’s and women’s) all-time leader in points on January 25.
