Fertility preservation helps protect your ability to have biological children in the future by freezing eggs, sperm or reproductive tissue. It’s often done before treatments like chemotherapy, radiation or stem cell transplants that may affect fertility. Some medical conditions—such as fibroids, endometriosis, autoimmune diseases or premature ovarian insufficiency—can also make preservation an important option to consider.
