🔺 National Champions! For the 11th time under head coach Cael Sanderson, Penn State wrestling won a national championship over the weekend!

The Nittany Lions crowned four individual champions in Kansas City, welcoming two new NCAA champs to the fold and adding its first two four-time NCAA kings.

Penn State set records at NCAAs for the most team points scored at the NCAA Tournament (172.5 points) and the largest margin of victory (100 points).

🔺 Down Goes No. 1! Penn State women’s lacrosse’s Kristin O’Neill had a career day against No. 1 Northwestern on Saturday, her sixth and final goal against the Wildcats serving as the game-winner in overtime in a 14-13 victory in Happy Valley.

Kayla Abernathy also contributed a hat trick and four total points for the Lady Lions, while Gretchen Gilmore and Kelly MacKinney both added two points.

🔺 Just Keep Winning. No. 1 seed Penn State women’s basketball plays its Second Round matchup in the WBIT tonight against Belmont at the Bryce Jordan Center at 6 p.m.

The Lady Lions beat George Mason, 84-80 in overtime, to advance to the second round, while the Bruins took down Ball State.

🔺 Great Start. Penn State softball kicked off Big Ten play the same way it started the non-conference slate — starting a winning streak!

The Lady Lions swept Indiana at Nittany Lion Softball Park over the weekend, outscoring the Hoosiers 15-6 over the three-game series.

🔺 B1G Weekend. No. 24 Penn State women’s gymnastics posted a 195.825 team score at the Big Ten Championships on Saturday, finishing eighth.

Isabella Salcedo and Amani Herring both earned spots on the All-Championships team thanks to their 9.9 floor scores.

🔺 Undefeated In B1G. No. 7/5 Penn State men’s lacrosse began Big Ten play over the weekend with a big 12-9 win over Ohio State, coming back from a 3-1 first quarter deficit to claim the victory.

Matt Traynor and Mac Costin both registered hat tricks for the Nittany Lions, and TJ Malone added four points on two goals and two assists.

🔺 Got One. Penn State baseball hosted Michigan this past weekend for its Big Ten opener, dropping two-of-three games to the Wolverines at Medlar Field.

The Nittany Lions won Game One of the series, 4-3, before dropping the final two games of the series.

🔺 Fell Short. No. 6 Penn State men’s gymnastics wrapped up the regular season with a 406.500-405.950 loss to No. 4 Illinois on Saturday.

Next up for the Nittany Lions will be the Big Ten Championships on April 5-6 in Champaign, Ill.

🔺 Not Our Weekend. Both the Penn State men’s and women’s tennis teams played a pair of matches against Big Ten opponents over the weekend, dropping both.

The men fell at home to Illinois and Northwestern, while the women went on the road and lost at Michigan and Purdue.
