🔺 Marching On. Penn State men’s basketball is onto the second round of the Big Ten Tournament, beating Michigan, 66-57, on Wednesday night to set up a matchup against No. 6 seed Indiana Thursday evening.

Zach Hicks led the Nittany Lions with 20 points, knocking down six of Penn State’s seven 3-pointers on the night. Ace Baldwin Jr. added 17 points, six assists and five rebounds.

🔺 Dynamic Defender. One day after being named the 2024 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year, Ace Baldwin Jr. has been named one of 10 semifinalists for the Naismith National Defensive Player of the Year award.

🔺 Dancing Skates. It’s NCAA Tournament for No. 14/13 Penn State women’s hockey, as the Lady Lions travel to Madison, Wisconsin today to take on No. 7 St. Lawrence at 8 p.m. ET.

Penn State is making its second appearance in the NCAA Tournament and is looking for its first win, losing to Quinnipiac last season.

🔺 Home Cookin’. Penn State softball has a great opportunity to get back on track this weekend, hosting the Penn State Softball Invitational from Thursday through Sunday.

The Lady Lions take on Lehigh at 5:30 p.m. today, and will have matchups against Cornell, Canisius and Binghamton throughout the weekend.

🔺 Home Opener. Penn State baseball was so excited for this weekend’s home opener against UMass Lowell, it decided to move the game up one day!

So, maybe it was anticipated weather that moved the series opener, but either way, the Nittany Lions play at home today!

🔺 Making A Splash. Penn State swimming and diving will be well-represented at the NCAA Championships — Mariano Lazzerini, Victor Baganha, Cooper Morley and Daphne Wils were all invited to compete!

🔺 Made The Team. For the third time this season, Matt Traynor has been named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Team of the Week!

It wasn’t a difficult choice for the committee — Traynor scored seven goals and totaled eight points in a 20-9 win over No. 8 Cornell last Saturday.
