🔺 Headed To The ‘Ship. No. 8 Penn State women’s hockey beat RIT in consecutive games over the weekend in the semifinals of the AHA Tournament, advancing to its third straight championship round in the process.

The Nittany Lions won 3-2 on Friday before shutting out the Tigers, 4-0, on Saturday.

🔺 Postseason Next. No. 15 Penn State men’s hockey continued its hot stretch over the weekend, splitting a pair of games against No. 2 Minnesota at Pegula Ice Arena to close out the regular season.

Simon Mack netted an overtime goal in Friday night’s game to give the Nittany Lions another win over a top-five team.

🔺 B1G Races. Penn State track and field competed at the Big Ten Indoor Championships this past weekend, with the women finishing seventh and the men 12th.

Olivier Desmeules was crowned the champion in the men’s 600-meter on Saturday, running the race In 1:15.881.

🔺 Early Offense. No. 9 Penn State men’s lacrosse scored seven goals in the first period against Yale on Saturday on its way to a 15-9 win over the Bulldogs to improve to 4-1 on the season.

Seven different Nittany Lions scored goals, led by Kyle Lehman with five.

🔺 Get Your Brooms Out. Penn State baseball went 3-0 this weekend, pushing its record to 8-1 on the season with wins over Richmond, VCU and William & Mary.

The Nittany Lion bats were especially hot this weekend, scoring 40 runs in their three wins.

🔺 Upset City. No. 7 Penn State men’s gymnastics posted 11 sticks on Saturday night at Rec Hall, earning an upset win over No. 2 Stanford, 321.350-314.450.

Penn State won just two of the six event titles, but stronger overall performances by the Nittany Lions aided the team to a nearly seven-point victory.

🔺 Closed Out. Penn State women’s basketball finished its regular season schedule on Sunday, falling 75-70 to Rutgers in Piscataway, N.J.

Four Lady Lions scored in double figures against the Scarlet Knights — Grace Hall (16), Gabby Elliott (15), Tamera Johnson (11) and Talayah Walker (10).

🔺 BJC Finale. Penn State men’s basketball took a 36-30 lead into halftime against No. 16 Maryland on Saturday at the Bryce Jordan Center, but ultimately fell to the Terrapins, 68-64.

Ace Baldwin Jr. led the way with 18 points, five rebounds and three assists, followed by D’Marco Dunn (14 points, seven rebounds) and Freddie Dilione V (12 points, six rebounds).

🔺 Winning Weekend. Penn State softball spent the weekend in Virginia, winning three-of-five games at the Hokie Invite.

The Nittany Lions picked up wins against Robert Morris, Radford and Villanova, improving their overall record to 8-11 on the season.

🔺 Merri-Go-Round. No. 20 Penn State men’s volleyball picked up a win on Friday, taking down Merrimack in four sets at Rec Hall.

Will Kuhns recorded his first career double-double in the win with 15 kills and 11 digs.

🔺 Top-50 Win. No. 36 Penn State women’s tennis earned a ranked win on Saturday, going on the road and beating No. 48 Princeton, 4-2, in New Jersey.

The Nittany Lions got singles wins from Patricia Grigoras, Yvonne Zuffova and Maria Daciana Ciubotaru.

🔺 B1G Next. Penn State men’s tennis closed out the non-conference slate on Sunday at Columbia, losing 7-0 to the No. 8 Lions.

The Nittany Lions open Big Ten play this coming Saturday at Ohio State.

🔺 B1G Meet. No. 25 Penn State women’s gymnastics competed at the Big Four Meet in Coralville, Iowa on Sunday, finishing third in a field that also included No. 7 Michigan State, Iowa and Washington.

The Nittany Lions had a team score of 195.475, trailing the Spartans (197.150) and Hawkeyes (196.125).
