🔺 Strong Start! No. 1 Penn State wrestling finished up Day 1 at the NCAA Championships on Thursday, going a perfect 10-0 in Session I before winning eight of 10 matches in Session II!

Penn State sits in first place heading into Day 2 of competition in Cleveland.

🔺 Feelin’ Frozen! No. 3 Penn State women’s hockey is set for an NCAA Frozen Four matchup tonight against No. 2 seed Wisconsin (33-4-2), with puck drop set for 7:30 p.m. at Pegula Ice Arena!

🔺 Welcome Home, Coach! Penn State Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Patrick Kraft has named four-year Penn State women’s basketball letterwinner Tanisha Wright as the seventh head coach of the Lady Lion basketball program!

She returns to Happy Valley following a five-year stint coaching in the WNBA, including three seasons as a head coach. 

🔺 B1G Time. No. 9 Penn State men’s lacrosse jumps into Big Ten play this weekend, with No. 11 Maryland (3-3) in town tomorrow for a 3 p.m. game on the Big Ten Network!

🔺 Wolverine Weekend. Penn State women’s lacrosse returns to Big Ten play this weekend, hosting Michigan (6-2, 1-0 B1G) this Sunday at noon for the program’s Senior Day and Alumni Day!

🔺 B1G Battle. Penn State women’s gymnastics heads to Champaign, Illinois tomorrow to compete at the Big Ten Championships in Session 2 against Iowa, Maryland and Ohio State!

🔺 B1G At Home. Penn State softball is back from the West Coast, hosting Wisconsin (14-10, 0-3 B1G) this weekend for its Big Ten home opener at Nittany Lion Softball Park & Beard Field!

🔺 Boiler Ball. Penn State baseball hits the road this weekend, landing in West Lafayette, Indiana for a three-game Big Ten series at Purdue (13-6, 3-3 B1G)!

🔺 Runnin’ Outside. Penn State track and field begins the outdoor portion of its schedule this weekend, traveling to Philadelphia for the Penn Challenge!

🔺 Away From Home. Both Penn State men’s and women’s tennis hit the road this weekend — the men visit Big Ten opponents Purdue (4-9, 0-4 B1G) and Indiana (7-6, 1-3 B1G), while the women step away from conference play for a matchup at Georgia Tech (7-7)!
