🔺 In-State Battle. It’s a battle for Pennsylvania this afternoon in College Park, as No. 22 Penn State women’s lacrosse hosts Pittsburgh at 4 p.m. at Panzer Stadium.

The two teams have played twice before, with the Lady Lions taking both contests in 2022 and 2023.

🔺 Program Pillar. Penn State mourns the loss of former baseball coach Joe Hindelang, who passed away on Friday night at the age of 78.

Hindelang served as head coach of the Nittany Lions from 1991-2004, compiling a program-record 389 wins and a 1996 Big Ten regular season championship.

🔺 Maloney The Man. Penn State catcher Matt Maloney hit .625 with a home run and 11 RBI on opening weekend.

So yeah, he’s the Big Ten Player of the Week!

🔺 None Better. Of all the women’s college hockey players in the country, none have earned more faceoff wins this season than Penn State’s Tessa Janecke!

🔺 On Offense. Penn State men’s volleyball’s Toby Ezeonu is the EIVA Offensive Player of the Week after hitting .636 and averaging 2.29 kills, 1.14 aces and 1.00 blocks per set in two Nittany Lion wins!
