🔺 Home For Two. No. 1 Penn State wrestling is home again this weekend for a pair of matchups — Michigan visits the Bryce Jordan Center today at 6 p.m. and Maryland travels to Rec Hall on Sunday at 1 p.m.

🔺 Weekend On Ice. Penn State women’s hockey is home this weekend, hosting Mercyhurst for a two-game AHA set starting today at 6 p.m.

The Penn State men are on the road against a ranked Wisconsin squad, playing the No. 19/20 Badgers tomorrow and Sunday.

🔺 Let’s Play Lacrosse. Penn State women’s lacrosse opens its 2025 season this weekend, hosting Richmond tomorrow at 1 p.m. at Panzer Stadium.

The men play their first road game of the 2025 campaign, traveling to Villanova on Sunday to play the Wildcats at noon.

🔺 First Pitch. Penn State softball opens its season this weekend with five games in Clearwater, Fla. for the NFCA Leadoff Classic, starting today with a pair of games against No. 7 Duke and No. 13 Texas Tech.

🥎 PREVIEW: Nittany Lions Open Season At Star-Studded NFCA Leadoff Classic

🔺 West To Westwood. Penn State men’s basketball heads west this weekend, playing at UCLA tomorrow at 4 p.m. ET as part of a two-game West Coast swing. The Nittany Lions play at USC on Tuesday night.

🔺 Windy City Weekend. Penn State women’s basketball will be in Chicago this weekend, playing at Northwestern on Sunday at 2 p.m.

🔺 On The Right Track. Penn State track and field gets another weekend at home, hosting the Sykes & Sabock Challenge all day tomorrow at the Multi-Sport Facility & Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track.

🔺 On The Road. Both Penn State women’s and men’s gymnastics are on the road this weekend, with the women traveling to Maryland tonight at 6:30 p.m. and the men traveling to Ohio State on Sunday.

🔺 Home Stand. Penn State women’s and men’s tennis will spend the weekend at home with a number of matchups upcoming.

The Nittany Lion women host St. Bonaventure and Niagara tomorrow and Mount St. Mary’s on Sunday, while the men play St. Bonaventure and Saint Joseph’s tomorrow and Toledo Sunday.

🔺 In The Ivy. Penn State men’s volleyball is in Massachusetts this weekend, playing a two-game series at Harvard starting today at 7 p.m.

🦁 ONE BIG THING

🔺 Classroom Success. Penn State student-athletes recorded another outstanding semester by recording a 3.32 term grade-point average (GPA) in the 2024 fall semester. The Nittany Lions had 636 students (77%) with a 3.0 semester GPA and 328 Dean’s List honorees (3.5 semester GPA). In addition, 75 full-time students tallied a 4.0 semester with 25 carrying a 4.0 cumulative GPA.
