🔺 B1G Win! Penn State women’s basketball earned its first Big Ten win of the season on Wednesday night, beating Purdue inside Mackey Arena in overtime, 85-82!
Kiyomi McMiller led the Lady Lions with 30 points and nine assists on 10-of-19 shooting. Gracie Merkle scored 19 points and collected 20 rebounds, with Moriah Murray (15 points) and Tea Cleante (10 points) also scoring in double figures.
🔺 Wolverine Den. Penn State men’s basketball hits the road today to play against the No. 2 team in the country, traveling to Michigan for a 6:30 p.m. tipoff against the Wolverines on FS1.
The Nittany Lions are coming off its first Big Ten win of the season after Kayden Mingo scored the game-winning shot with one second to play to lift the Nittany Lions to a 77-75 win over Minnesota Sunday.
🔺 Grabbed The Crown. Penn State women’s tennis picked up its first road win of the season on Wednesday, beating five-time defending Sun Belt champion Old Dominion, 4-3!
In the win, Penn State picked up three ranked victories, one in doubles and two in singles.
🔺 Fantastic Freshman. Penn State men’s swimmer Vicente Villanueva has been named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week after recording three individual event wins last week against West Virginia and George Washington!
