Shingles is caused by the varicella-zoster virus. It is the same virus that causes chickenpox. The virus lies dormant in your nervous system for years and resurfaces as shingles, which causes a painful rash. Shingles can happen at any age, but it most typically affects people with stress, compromised immunity and those over 50.

🔺 Postseason In The Pool. It’s championship time for Penn State women’s swimming and diving, which is in Columbus, Ohio this week for the Big Ten Championships!

🔺 Star Skater. After leading the entire conference in points this past weekend, Penn State men’s hockey’s Simon Mack is the Big Ten Second Star of the Week!
