🔺 Gimme Two. No. 1 Penn State wrestling picked up another pair of Big Ten dual wins over the weekend — 39-0 over Michigan on Friday and 35-10 over Maryland on Sunday.

🔺 Conference Champs! With its win on Friday at home against Mercyhurst to push its conference record to 17-0-0, Penn State women’s hockey clinched the AHA regular season title!

🔺 B1G Sweep. The Penn State men matched that excitement on the ice, traveling to Wisconsin and sweeping the No. 19/20 Badgers, outscoring their hosts 8-2 in the process.

🔺 One Up, One Down. No. 11 Penn State men’s lacrosse moved to 2-0 on Sunday, winning 15-5 over Villanova. Matt Traynor tallied his 100th career point in the win.
Penn State women’s lacrosse opened its season on Saturday against Richmond, falling to the Spiders, 12-10. Kelly MacKinney led the Nittany Lions with six points (one goal, five assists).

🔺 On The Board. Penn State men’s volleyball picked up its first win of the season on Saturday, sweeping Harvard in Cambridge, Mass. Will Kuhns had a career-high 16 kills in the win.

🔺 Putting On A Show. Penn State track and field celebrated Senior Day on Saturday at the Sykes & Sabock Challenge — Darius Smallwood trimmed his NCAA No. 2 time in the 600-meter, and Dylan Lambrecht jumped into the NCAA top-20 in the shot put.

🔺 Slim Win. No. 22 Penn State women’s gymnastics earned a close win over Maryland on Friday, 195.550-195.225. Elizabeth Leary earned her first all-around win of her career with a score of 39.050.

🔺 Hoops Talk. Penn State women’s basketball fell on the road at Northwestern on Sunday, 69-63.
Talayaha Walker led the Lady Lions with 14 points, her sixth game this season scoring in double figures.

🔺 Great Start Continues. Penn State women’s tennis won three more matches over the weekend, all by way of sweep, moving to 6-1 on the season — its best start since 2012-13.
The Penn State men matched the women’s success, winning three matches of their own, all by sweep.

🔺 One Week Down. Penn State softball finished up play at the NFCA Leadoff Classic in Clearwater, Fla. over the weekend, finishing 1-4 with a win over Kennesaw State.
The Nittany Lions run-ruled the Owls 9-1 in the first game of a doubleheader on Saturday, with Brooke Klosowicz hitting her first collegiate home run and driving in four runs.

🔺 Loss In LA. Penn State men’s basketball fell to UCLA at Pauley Pavilion on Saturday, 78-54. Zach Hicks led the way with 14 points and eight rebounds.
The Nittany Lions are still out in Los Angeles, with a matchup at USC set for tomorrow night.

🔺 Creating A Legacy. Penn State Athletics has announced the creation of the Legacy Fund to ensure Penn State continues to be one of the most competitive departments in the country. The Legacy Fund is a two-pronged effort providing resources for student-athlete scholarships and a commitment to ensuring Penn State’s 23 athletics facilities, including Beaver Stadium, remain some of the best venues in the nation.
