🔺 Not Our Night. Penn State men’s basketball ran into a hot-shooting Michigan State team on Thursday night, losing 92-61 to the Spartans in East Lansing.

Kanye Clary scored 21 points for the Nittany Lions to lead the team, his fourth straight game with 20-plus points.

🔺 Blue Bloods. Penn State wrestling is on the west coast tonight for its first dual of 2024 against Oregon State.

The Beavers are 4-1 on the season, while the Nittany Lions enter the dual at 2-0, with a 43-10 win over Hofstra last time out on Dec. 10.

🔺 Back At It. No. 19 Penn State men’s hockey is back on the ice tomorrow for the first time since Dec. 9 against Army at Pegula Ice Arena.

The Knights are 5-13 on the season and 3-8 away from home, but do own a 6-3 win over No. 16 New Hampshire on Dec. 29.

Penn State enters at 9-7-3 and 5-3-2 at home.

🔺 A More Perfect Union. No. 15 Penn State women’s hockey kicks off the new year with a two-game series against non-conference opponent Union at Pegula Ice Arena tonight and tomorrow.

Union is 7-12-2 on the season, eight of those losses coming to ranked opponents.

Tonight’s puck drop will be at 6 p.m., while tomorrow’s matchup will start at 1 p.m.

🔺 Good Open. Penn State men’s volleyball started its season in a strong way on Thursday night, cruising to a 3-0 win over Central State at Rec Hall.

Toby Ezeonu led the Nittany Lions with 10 kills, while Michael Schwob tallied 22 assists.

Penn State is back in action tomorrow night against Lewis at 6 p.m.

The Penn State women’s gymnastics team is in Philadelphia tonight to compete at the Keystone Classic against Penn, Temple and Pitt, while the Penn State men’s gymnastics team opens the season at home against Army.
