🔺 Terrapin Takedown. Penn State wrestling is once again back out on the road this weekend, heading to College Park to take on Maryland this Sunday at noon on the Big Ten Network.
The Terps are 3-4 on the year and 1-3 in Big Ten play, with ranked wrestlers at 133, 141, 149, 157, 197 and 285 pounds.
🔺 Win Again. Make it four wins in a row for Penn State women’s basketball, who went on the road and beat Northwestern 76-65 on Thursday night!
Ashley Owusu and Makenna Marisa starred for the Lady Lions, both scoring 20 points. Owusu also led the team in rebounds (7) and assists (5).

Penn State doesn’t rest for long, putting its four-game win streak on the line against Maryland this Sunday.
🔺 Go For The Gophers. Penn State men’s basketball has its eyes on the .500 this weekend, sitting one game below that mark with Minnesota coming to town for a 6:30 p.m. tip tomorrow.
The Gophers are 12-7 on the season but have slid as of late, losing four straight games heading into their weekend matchup with the Nittany Lions.
🔺 Four More. Penn State men’s and women’s hockey both have conference matchups this weekend!
After running the gauntlet with three straight Big Ten series against top-10 teams, the Penn State men welcome in Ohio State this weekend, which sits at 9-11-4 on the year.
The Lady Lions get a rematch with Lindenwood this weekend after sweeping a road series in early November by a combined eight goals. They sit at 10-13-1 overall on the year.
🔺 Down Goes No. 1. For the second season in a row, Penn State men’s volleyball has taken down the No. 1 team in the country!
The No. 9 Nittany Lions were in Columbus, Ohio on Thursday night, where it took only four sets to grab a win over No. 1 Ohio State.
The two teams will be back in action against each other on Sunday, with that matchup being played in Happy Valley.
🔺 Clear The Track. Penn State track & field plays host once again this weekend, with the Penn State National Open running today and tomorrow.
🔺 Good Knight. Penn State women’s gymnastics beat Rutgers 196.075-195.850 on Thursday night to improve to 5-1 on the season and 1-1 in Big Ten action!
Ava Piedrahita was a standout for the Lady Lions, scoring 39.450 in an outstanding all-around performance.
🔺 Next Up On The Court. Penn State women’s tennis gets a weekend in the city, as it heads out onto the road to face Columbia and Penn in New York City and Philadelphia, respectively!

🔺 It’s A Party! Penn State Athletics is turning National Girls and Women in Sports Day, which is celebrated on Feb. 7, into a two-week celebration!
The department will feature a variety of events to commemorate girls and women in sports from Jan. 28-Feb. 10, highlighted by NGWSD games for women’s basketball and women’s hockey.
