🔺 Court Stormed. Penn State men’s basketball was dominant in its Big Ten opener on Thursday night, beating No. 8/7 Purdue, 81-70, to improve to 8-1 on the season and earn its first top-10 win since Dec. 10, 2019. The Nittany Lions led by as many as 27 points in the game and forced a season-high 24 turnovers.

Ace Baldwin Jr. led Penn State with 17 points and six assists, followed by Freddie Dilione V (14 points), Puff Johnson (13 points), Nick Kern Jr. (12 points) and Zach Hicks (11 points).

🔺 Tourney Time. No. 3 overall seed Penn State women’s volleyball begins its NCAA Tournament run today, hosting Delaware State in a first round matchup at Rec Hall at 7:30 p.m.

The winner of tonight’s matchup will advance to Saturday night’s second round against the winner of North Carolina-Yale.

🔺 B1G Time. Penn State women’s basketball plays its Big Ten opener tomorrow, hosting Indiana at 1 p.m. at the Bryce Jordan Center.

The Hoosiers are 6-3 on the season and are winners of their last two games. Tomorrow’s matchup will be just their second true road game of the year.

🔺 Down To Dual. No. 1 Penn State wrestling heads to Bethlehem, Pa. this Sunday for a dual with Lehigh at 2 p.m.

The Nittany Lions are coming off a trip to the Black Knight Invitational two weekends ago, in which Penn State wrestlers won nine of 10 individual titles.

🔺 Net Positive. The top two teams in the AHA rankings face off this weekend as No. 12 Penn State women’s hockey heads to Erie, Pa. for a two-game series at Mercyhurst.

The Nittany Lions are perfect in conference play at 6-0-0, with the Lakers sitting in second place at 4-2-0.

🔺 Runners, On Your Mark. Indoor track season is here! Penn State track and field will compete at three different events this weekend to open up its winter slate — the Penn Opener (Philadelphia), the Bison Opener (Lewisburg, Pa.) and the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener (Boston).

🔺 Another Opportunity. Penn State men’s hockey was shutout on the road last night, 4-0, at No. 17/16 Ohio State.

John Seifarth collected a career-high 32 saves, but the Nittany Lions couldn’t find the net on the other end of the ice.

The two teams play again today at 7 p.m.
