🔺 Starck The Star. Penn State women’s volleyball’s Izzy Starck has been named the AVCA East Coast Region Freshman of the Year!

She was also named to the All-East Coast Region Team, and was joined by teammates Camryn Hannah, Jess Mruzik and Taylor Trammell.

The Nittany Lions continue their run in the NCAA Tournament this Friday, hosting Marquette in an NCAA Regional Semifinal match at Rec Hall at 3 p.m.

🔺 Road Game In Rhode Island. Penn State women’s basketball leaves Happy Valley today and heads to Rhode Island for a 7 p.m. matchup at Providence.

The Friars are 6-5 on the season but are winners of three straight, including an overtime win over Brown last Saturday.

🔺 Knight Game. Penn State men’s basketball fell in a close game on the road yesterday, 80-76, at Rutgers.

Zach Hicks led the Nittany Lions in scoring with 20 points, including six makes from three-point range. Freddie Dilione V added 14 points, while Nick Kern scored 10 points and led the team with seven rebounds off the bench.

🔺 National Pride. A pair of Penn State women’s hockey standouts will suit up for the 2024 Six Nations Championship this week — Tessa Janecke for Team USA and Nicole Hall for Team Sweden!

🔺 Almost Time. Penn State women’s gymnastics will begin its season ranked — the Nittany Lions came in at No. 21 in the WCGA preseason poll on Tuesday!

🔺 Academic Action. Graduate-student forward Alli Campbell of women’s basketball and junior wide receiver Omari Evans of football have each been recognized as the Student-Athletes of the Month, as announced by the Morgan Academic Center (MAC) and PSU’s academic services staff this week!
