🔺 Final Four. Sixth-ranked and fourth-seeded Penn State women’s soccer lines up against eighth-seed Iowa tonight in the Big Ten Tournament semifinals.

Penn State took down Indiana, 3-0, in the quarterfinals to move into the semifinals, while Iowa beat top-seed Michigan State, 2-1. Tonight will be the first matchup between the Nittany Lions and Hawkeyes this season.

The winner of tonight’s semifinal matchup will play in Sunday’s Big Ten championship game.

🔺 Tourney Time. The No. 4 seed Penn State field hockey team opens up Big Ten Tournament play today against No. 5 seed Ohio State in a quarterfinal matchup.

The Nittany Lions and Buckeyes played back on Oct. 6, with Penn State pulling out a 2-1 win thanks to goals from Sophia Gladieux and Mackenzie Allessie.

The winner of today’s quarterfinal matchup will move on to play No. 1 seed Northwestern tomorrow at 1 p.m.

🔺 Awards, Awards, Awards. Penn State field hockey is all over the Big Ten postseason award lists!

The list is headlined by Sophia Gladieux, who was named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year for the second year in a row. Mackenzie Allessie joined Gladieux on the First-Team All-Big Ten list, Anouk Knuvers was named Second-Team All-Big Ten, and Carly Gannon was named Penn State’s recipient of the Big Ten Field Hockey Sportsmanship Award!

🔺 Good Sports. A pair of true freshmen from Penn State are Big Ten Sportsmanship Award winners — congratulations to Brian DiCola and Claire Zubey!
