🔺 Hoops Is Here! Penn State men’s and women’s basketball both tip off their seasons tonight at the Bryce Jordan Center!

The Lady Lions play the first game of the doubleheader, tipping off against Bucknell at 5 p.m. The Nittany Lion men will tip off against Binghamton after the women finish up, at approximately 7:30 p.m.

🔺 Stunner In St. Paul. After playing the first grueling 88 minutes of the match tied at 0-0, Penn State women’s soccer defender Mieke Schiemann found the back of the net off a free kick in the 89th minute to give the Nittany Lions a win over Minnesota in the opening round of the Big Ten Tournament on Friday.

The Nittany Lions play again today at 4 p.m. against ninth-seeded UCLA.

🔺 Orange Crush. No. 12 Penn State women’s hockey completed a sweep of Syracuse on Friday, crushing the Orange 5-2 in the series finale.

The game was tied at 1-1 heading into the third period, but goals from Abby Stonehouse, Leah Stecker, Stella Retrum and Maddy Christian in the period blew the game wide open.

🔺 That’s A Dozen. No. 3 Penn State women’s volleyball is now 12-0 in Big Ten play after beating Iowa in four sets on Friday night at Rec Hall.

Camryn Hannah and Jess Mruzik led the Nittany Lions with 15 kills apiece.

🔺 First Loss. No. 3 Penn State football played against No. 4 Ohio State in front of the largest crowd in Beaver Stadium history on Saturday, losing 20-13 to the Buckeyes.

The Nittany Lions struck early with a field goal and a 31-yard interception return for a touchdown by Zion Tracy to go up 10-0 with 5:37 left to play in the opening quarter. Penn State scored just three points the rest of the way, dropping its first game of the season.

🔺 B1G Finish. No. 24 Penn State women’s cross country finished fourth at the Big Ten Championships on Friday morning, led by an All-Big Ten finish from Florence Caron.

The men placed eighth among the competitive field, with Brian DiCola earning All-Big Ten honors.

🔺 Top Test. Penn State men’s hockey was swept by No. 4 Minnesota in its first Big Ten series of the season over the weekend.

The Nittany Lions managed just one goal, scored by Reese Laubach in Game 1 on Friday.

🔺 Terp Tilt. No. 17 Penn State field hockey closed out its regular season over the weekend, falling to No. 7 Maryland, 4-2.

Sophia Gladieux and Sophia Mannino scored the two Nittany Lion goals.

🔺 Cat Fight. Penn State men’s soccer finished up its regular season on Sunday afternoon, falling 4-1 at Northwestern.

Malick Daouda scored the lone goal for the Nittany Lions, the second goal of his rookie campaign.
