🔺 Warren Wows Again. No. 4 Penn State football was dominant again on Saturday, beating Purdue in West Lafayette, 49-10. Tyler Warren again made his case as the best tight end in college football, leading the Nittany Lions in both receiving (127 yards) and rushing (63 yards). The Happy Valley Adventure Bureau (HVAB) announced an exciting new partnership with Penn State wrestling great Carter Starocci as he pursues an unprecedented fifth national championship. The campaign is part of a comprehensive marketing strategy to capitalize on opportunities to work with student athletes in the NIL era.

“Carter’s Drive and Dine for Five” is an engaging YouTube/social media series that will chronicle Starocci’s wrestling goals competing at a higher weight class as he and special guests dine at some of Happy Valley’s most popular restaurants.

🔺 Test Passed. Penn State men’s basketball had its first big test of the season on Friday and passed with flying colors, beating Virginia Tech 86-64 in Baltimore.

Ace Baldwin Jr. was fantastic in his homecoming, leading the Nittany Lions with 19 points, 10 assists, three steals and two rebounds. Zach Hicks also scored 19 points.

🔺 Season Opened. No. 1 Penn State wrestling has officially started the 2024-2025 season, winning 41-3 over Drexel on Sunday in Rec Hall.

The dominant win came with a handful of regulars not competing, having wrestled in Saturday’s NWCA All-Star Exhibition.

🔺 A Hundred More. Penn State women’s basketball reached triple digits yet again on Sunday, beating Monmouth 100-55 to improve to 5-0 on the season.

Moriah Murray led the Lady Lions in scoring with 23 points, Gracie Merkle collected a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds, and Talayah Walker scored 18 points.

🔺 Two More. No. 4 Penn State women’s volleyball improved to 15-1 in Big Ten play over the weekend, winning Friday night in a sweep of Illinois and in four sets at Maryland on Sunday.

🔺 Moving On. No. 4 seed Penn State women’s soccer was historically good in its NCAA Tournament win over Stony Brook on Saturday, winning 8-1 to advance to the second round against fifth-seeded and seventh-ranked TCU.

The Nittany Lions’ eight goals were their most against a Division I team since they beat Iowa 8-0 in 2005.

🔺 Good Run. Penn State cross country competed at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals over the weekend, with the women running to a third-place finish and the men a fifth-place finish.

The No. 20 Nittany Lion women earned five individual All-Region honors, and as a result of their stellar race, received a team at-large bid to the NCAA Championships. Brian DiCola earned an individual at-large bid on the men’s side.

🔺 Sweeping At Home. No. 11/12 Penn State women’s hockey found different ways to win over the weekend against Lindenwood, winning Game 1, 3-2, in overtime before dominating in a 7-1 win on Saturday to complete the sweep.

Karley Garcia scored the overtime game-winner the Nittany Lions on Friday night.

🔺 Pesky Badgers. Penn State men’s hockey dropped a pair of contests to Wisconsin over the weekend, losing a close overtime game on Friday night.

Aiden Fink and Charlie Cerrato both scored in each game against the Badgers.
