🏈 No. RV/22 Penn State football hosts Northwestern on Saturday for its 105th homecoming game. Kickoff is set for at 3:30 p.m. on FS1.

  • Penn State meets Northwestern for the 22nd time in program history. PSU leads the all-time series, 16-5, including a 9-2 mark in home games. In 2023, the Nittany Lions claimed a 41-13 victory in Evanston. Drew Allar tallied a passing and a rushing touchdown, while Nicholas Singleton added a rushing and a receiving touchdown to go with 126 all-purpose yards. The PSU defense recorded 12 tackles for loss, seven sacks and an interception.

  • The Nittany Lions are set to host their 105th homecoming game. Penn State holds a 75-24-5 record in front of the alumni crowd, including wins in 16 of the last 19 games. PSU earned a 21-7 win over Illinois in last year's homecoming contest.

  • Northwestern is 3-2 this season with a 1-1 mark in Big Ten play. Last Saturday, the Wildcats earned a 42-7 win over UL Monroe. Northwestern tallied 515 total yards, including 246 on the ground. Preston Stone threw for 262 yards and three touchdowns, while Caleb Komolafe rushed for two scores.

🔺 Hockey Home Opener! No. 4 Penn State men’s hockey opens up the home slate today, welcoming Clarkson to Pegula Ice Arena for the first of a two-game series at 6:30 p.m. on Big Ten Network!

🔺 B1G Stage! Penn State women’s basketball spent Wednesday in Chicago at Big Ten Media Day, talking all things Lady Lions!

🔺 Hosting The Huskies. Penn State women’s soccer plays a crucial home match today, hosting Big Ten-leading Washington at 7 p.m. for its annual Pink Match.

The Huskies are 7-1-5 overall this season and unbeaten in conference play at 4-0-2.

🔺 Dive In. Penn State swimming and diving opens its season today, hosting St. Bonaventure at 3 p.m. inside McCoy Natatorium.

🔺 Joining The Team! Penn State Athletics Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Patrick Kraft announced Jennifer Koebel has joined the department as the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Finance and Business Operations! In addition, Kraft announced Rick Kaluza is transitioning into a revenue and operationally-focused role as the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Auxiliary Operations.

Koebel oversees all aspects of Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics’ financial operations, including budget management, strategic planning, financial reporting and analysis, capital projects and contract proposals.

In his new role and with the ever-changing landscape of college athletics, Kaluza supports a multitude of revenue and operationally-focused areas, including oversight of the Penn State Golf Courses, Penn State Sport Camps, Pegula Ice Arena and Oak View Group (OVG). Kaluza continues as the sport administrator for the National Championship wrestling team.
