🔺 Sweeping The Ice! No. 4 Penn State women’s hockey picked up its first two conference wins of the season over the weekend, sweeping Robert Morris at Pegula Ice Arena while scoring nine goals in two games against the Colonials!

First-year Sofia Ismael recorded a hat trick in Saturday’s win.

🔺 B1G Dub! No. 16 Penn State women’s volleyball grabbed its second win of Big Ten action on Saturday, beating Iowa in four sets at Rec Hall!

Kennedy Martin and Haley Burgdorf each posted double-doubles to lead the Nittany Lions. Martin hit .526 with 24 kills, 14 digs, three blocks, and four aces, while Burgdorf hit .588 with 11 kills and 11 digs.

🔺 Winning Weekend! Penn State field hockey went 2-0 over the weekend, picking up the first Big Ten win of the Hannah Prince era on Friday against Rutgers and the first ranked win of the Prince era on Sunday over No. 19 Lafayette!

🔺 Break The Tape! Penn State men’s cross country earned a second-place finish over the weekend at the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh, with Nick Sloff winning the 8K race individually in a time of 23:59.8!

🔺 Knotted Up. Penn State women’s soccer battled Purdue to a 2-2 draw on Saturday night at Jeffrey Field, with Aubrey Kulpa scoring her sixth goal of the season in the 66th minute to force the push with the Boilermakers.

🔺 Friday Night Fight. Penn State football dropped a Friday night game against Northwestern as the Wildcats unveiled the new Ryan Field, 34-13.

The Nittany Lions will face No. 18 USC at West Shore Home Field at Beaver Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 10, for the Penn State White Out.

🔺 Buckeye Battle. Penn State men’s soccer took a 1-0 lead into halftime against Ohio State on Friday, but allowed a pair of second-half goals in a 2-1 defeat to the Buckeyes at Jeffrey Field.

Etienne Reck scored in the 33rd minute for the Nittany Lions.

🔺 Swimmin’ Laps. Penn State swimming and diving competed at the Virginia Tech Invitational over the weekend, with the men’s squad dropping contests to Virginia Tech and West Virginia, while the women fell to Virginia Tech and Liberty.
