🔺 B1G Things Coming. Penn State men’s basketball head coach Mike Rhoades, along with Ace Baldwin Jr. and Puff Johnson, represented the Nittany Lions at Big Ten Men’s Basketball Media Day in Chicago on Thursday!

🔺 Lucky 13. No. 3 Penn State women’s volleyball won its 13th match of the season on Thursday, taking down Maryland in four sets at Rec Hall.

Taylor Trammell earned her 500th block for the Nittany Lions, who are back in action again tonight against Oregon at 7 p.m.

🔺 First Puck Drop. Penn State men’s hockey gets its season underway tomorrow, making the trip all the way up to Fairbanks, Alaska to take on the Alaska Nanooks.

Game 1 will be played at 11 p.m. ET tomorrow night, with Game 2 set for 9 p.m. on Sunday.

🔺 Wear Pink. No. 19 Penn State women’s soccer hosts Rutgers today at 5 p.m. for its annual Pink Match at Jeffrey Field.

The Scarlet Knights are 8-1-2 on the season and undefeated in Big Ten play at 4-0-1, sitting in a four-way tie atop the conference standings heading into the weekend.

🔺 Weekend Test. No. 17 Penn State field hockey goes out onto the road this weekend to take on a pair of top-10 teams.

The Nittany Lions will be in Iowa City today to play No. 10 Iowa at 6 p.m. before traveling to the Chicago suburbs on Sunday to play No. 2 Northwestern at 1 p.m.

🔺 Husky Hockey. No. 12 Penn State women’s hockey skates with another ranked opponent this weekend, this time on the road at No. 9 UConn.

The Huskies began their season last weekend at home against No. 2 Minnesota, dropping both games to the Gophers.

🔺 White Out. Penn State men’s soccer is back home today after two-straight road matches, hosting UCLA at 8 p.m. for its Wear White & Canned Food Drive game.

The Bruins are 4-3-3 overall and 1-2-1 during their inaugural Big Ten slate, picking up its first conference win against Northwestern on Sept. 13.

🔺 On Your Marks. Penn State cross country will be in Bethlehem tomorrow, competing at the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh.

The Paul Short Run is the penultimate race of the regular season for the Nittany Lions, who will run at the Big Ten Championships in Champaign, Ill. on Friday, Nov. 1.

🔺 In The Pool. Penn State swimming & diving kicks off its regular season today, traveling to Annapolis, Md. to take on the Naval Academy at 5 p.m.

🔺 Tee It Up. Penn State women’s and men’s golf are both in action this weekend — the women are in Virginia Beach today for the Evie Odom Invitational, while the men travel to Estero, Fla. this Sunday for the West Bay Collegiate.
