🔺 Pride Of The Lions. After collecting four tackles for loss, two sacks and a forced fumble against No. 19/21 Illinois this past Saturday night, this seemed to be coming — Penn State’s Abdul Carter is the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week!

🔺 Let’s Kick It. Mark those calendars, Penn State football fans — The Nittany Lions’ Saturday, Oct. 12 game at USC will kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS from LA Memorial Coliseum!

🔺 Turtle Time. Penn State men’s soccer travels to College Park today for a 6 p.m. matchup against No. 19 Maryland on the Big Ten Network.

Both teams carry win streaks into the matchup — the Nittany Lions being winners of two straight and the Terrapins three straight.

🔺 Bright Lights, B1G Stage. Penn State women’s basketball fans, look for Alli Campbell and Jayla Oden representing the Lady Lions at Big Ten Media Days tomorrow!

🔺 All The Awards. The Big Ten sent a pair of awards to the Penn State women’s volleyball offices on Monday — Jess Mruzik is the Player of the Week and Izzy Starck is the Setter of the Week!

🔺 Scoring Threat. Penn State field hockey’s Sophia Gladieux has earned her first Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week award this season!

Gladieux collected eight points thanks to three goals and two assists in Penn State’s wins over Indiana and Lafayette over the weekend.

🔺 Tough To Score. For the second time in her Penn State career, Katie DeSa has been named the Goaltender of the Week, this time as a member of the Atlantic Hockey America conference!

DeSa allowed just three goals in two games against Northeastern on opening weekend, including a 17-save game to help the Nittany Lions earn their first win of the season in Game 2 of the series.
