📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Welcome Home, Coach! Penn State football has announced the addition of former Nittany Lion D’Anton Lynn as the program’s defensive coordinator!

Lynn comes to Penn State following a two-year stint as the defensive coordinator for USC. Prior to the Trojans, he was the defensive coordinator at UCLA for one season following a nine-year career coaching in the NFL.

🔺 Holiday Hoops. Penn State men’s hoops tipped it up twice while we were away, picking up a win in its non-conference finale on Dec. 29 against North Carolina Central, 90-67, before dropping a close game at The Palestra against Illinois, 73-65.

The Nittany Lions had five players in double figures against North Carolina Central — Kayden Mingo (19), Eli Rice (18), Dominick Stewart (11), Freddie Dilione V (10) and Melih Tunca (10).

🔺 Back In Action. Penn State men’s hockey was back from its month-long break over the weekend, splitting a pair of games against RIT in Rochester, N.Y.

After losing in Game 1 by a 1-0 final score, the Nittany Lions broke out for a 7-3 win on Sunday. Jarod Crespo registered a hat trick in the win.

🏒 RECAPS: Game 1 | Game 2

🔺 Hardwood Fight. Penn State women’s basketball played three times over the holidays, twice against top-15 teams in the country.

The Lady Lions dropped contests to No. 14 Iowa, No. 4 UCLA and Wisconsin. Next up is a home game against Michigan on Thursday.

🔺 Collision On Ice. Two of the top teams in the country met on the ice over the weekend, with No. 4 Penn State women’s hockey traveling to No. 2 Ohio State for a two-game series.

The Nittany Lions dropped both games of the series, with Maddy Christian and Tessa Janecke finding the back of the net.
