🔺 Top-10 Win. Penn State men’s hockey won its weekend series against No. 9/8 Ohio State over the weekend, winning a shootout on Friday and earning an overtime win on Saturday.
Reese Laubach scored the game-winner for the Nittany Lions on Saturday, securing a four-point weekend and continued a stretch of great hockey; Penn State is now unbeaten in eight of its last nine games.

🔺 Good Knight. No. 1 Penn State wrestling was dominant again on Friday night, winning 35-3 at Rutgers.
The Nittany Lions used four tech falls to stretch their lead from Shayne Van Ness (149 pounds), Mitchell Mesenbrink (165), Carter Starocci (184) and Josh Barr (197).

🔺 10 In A Row. No. 8 Penn State women’s hockey pushed its win streak to 10 games and its AHA record to 14-0 over the weekend thanks to a two-game sweep of Lindenwood in St. Charles, Mo.
Tessa Janecke became the all-time career points leader among both the men’s and women’s programs at Penn State in Saturday’s 4-0 win.

🔺 Win The Weekend. Both Penn State women’s and men’s gymnastics picked up wins over the weekend — the No. 19 women improved to 6-2 and won their Big Ten opener over Rutgers with a score of 194.825, while the men improved to 2-0 with a win over William & Mary.

🔺 Monday Matchup. Penn State men’s basketball continues its road trip today, traveling to Ann Arbor, Mich. to tip off against No. 21 Michigan at 6:30 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.
The Nittany Lions were in Iowa City on Friday night, and fell in heartbreaking fashion to Iowa, 76-75.

🔺 Late Run. Penn State women’s basketball wasn’t able to hang onto a fourth-quarter lead on Sunday, losing to Rutgers at the Bryce Jordan Center, 77-73.
Moriah Murray poured in six three-pointers as part of a 21-point effort for the Lady Lions, followed by 14 points from Gabby Elliott and 11 points from Gracie Merkle.

🔺 Strong Start. Penn State men’s tennis hosted four matches over the course of its season-opening weekend, and heads into Week 2 undefeated after picking up wins over Temple, Fordham, Quinnipiac and Bucknell.
Likewise, the Penn State women won their only match of the weekend, a 7-0 triumph over Saint Francis.

🔺 Elite Indeed. Penn State track and field posted three top-five program marks this weekend at the Penn 10 Elite in Philadelphia — Ajani Dwyer in the men’s 200m (20.65), Lizzie Schreiber in the women’s triple jump (12.76m) and Nick Sloff in the men’s 3K (7:59.33).

🔺 Generous Gift. Penn State Athletics received a $5 million gift from former Penn State Board of Trustees Chair Matthew W. Schuyler and his wife, Anne, in December 2024. The gift will support the Beaver Stadium Revitalization project. In recognition of their generous commitment, the West side’s field club in the revitalized Beaver Stadium will be named the Schuyler Family Club.
