🔺 Taking On No. 1. Penn State women’s basketball is back in action on the West Coast today, tipping off against No. 1 UCLA at 9:30 p.m. ET in Long Beach, Calif.
The Bruins are a perfect 16-0 this season, and 5-0 so far in their inaugural season of Big Ten action.
The location of tonight’s game was moved to Long Beach due to concerns surrounding area wildfires.
Apply sunscreen even on cloudy days. The sun, though behind the clouds, is still projecting its rays. People get burned the most on cloudy days because they’re getting the same sun exposure but without the heat that signals them to get out of the sun.
🔺 Ranked Road Game. Penn State men’s basketball is also on the road today, traveling to the state of Michigan to take on No. 12 Michigan State at 7:30 p.m.
The Spartans are 14-2 on the season and have won nine straight, including their first five games in Big Ten play.
🔺 One Down. Penn State men’s volleyball’s Will Kuhns has been named the EIVA Offensive Player of the Week, the first such honor of his career!
Kuhns hit .488 while averaging 3.57 kills, 1.14 digs, and 0.57 blocks per set over the two matches against nationally-ranked opponents. He opened the season with a team-high 12 kills in a four-set match with Loyola Chicago and then followed that with a career-high 13 kills on .500 hitting in a three-set contest against Lewis.

Penn State softball continues to collect accolades as the season quickly approaches — Bridget Nemeth has been named the No. 12 pitcher in the country by D1Softball, while the freshman trio of Abigail Britton, Macy Chamberlin and Natalie Lieto have all been named to the Freshman Watch List by Softball America.
