🔺 Spartan Shutout. No. 1 Penn State wrestling dominated in its first Big Ten dual of the season, winning 55-0 against Michigan State on Friday.
Six Nittany Lions won by fall — Greg Kerkvliet (285), Shayne Van Ness (149), Tyler Kasak (157), Levi Haines (174), Carter Starocci (184) and Josh Barr (197).

🔺 Perfect Again. No. 11 Penn State women’s hockey earned its seventh sweep of the season over the weekend, picking up a pair of wins over RIT in Happy Valley.
The two wins moves the Nittany Lions’ record to 19-4-1 overall and 10-0 in AHA play.
🔺 Point Taken. Penn State men’s hockey picked up a point in Big Ten action over the weekend, winning in a shootout on Saturday against No. 1 Michigan State at Pegula Ice Arena.
The Nittany Lions, who fell 6-4 to the Spartans on Friday, are now 2-3-1 against the No. 1-ranked team in the country since 2022-23.
🔺 Keep On Rolling. No. 9 Penn State women’s gymnastics had another successful weekend down in San Antonio, earning a 196.100 total score to finish second among five teams at the Lone Star Collegiate Invitational.
Auburn took the team title with a 196.775 followed by the Nittany Lions at 196.100. Maryland placed third in the meet with a 195.400 with Arizona State (194.750) and Temple (192.350) taking fourth and fifth.

🔺 Close Call. Penn State men’s basketball came up just short on Sunday at home against No. 15 Oregon, losing 82-81 despite erasing a 14-point deficit.
Freddie Dilione V led the Nittany Lions with a career-best 21 points, followed by Nick Kern Jr. (19 points), Puff Johnson (15 points) and Zach Hicks (14 points).
🔺 Trojan Test. Penn State women’s basketball battled through a back-and-forth first quarter at No. 4/5 USC on Sunday night, but ultimately fell 95-73 to the Trojans in Los Angeles.
Talayah Walker scored 18 points to lead the Lady Lions, with Gabby Elliott (14 points), Gracie Merkle (13 points) and Alli Campbell (10 points) rounding out the double-digit scorers.
Next up for Penn State is a matchup against No. 1 UCLA in Long Beach on Wednesday. The location of the game was changed due to concerns surrounding area wildfires.

🔺 Good Start. Penn State men’s gymnastics closed out competition at the West Point Open on Saturday with a trio of individual event titles and seven additional top-three finishes.
Michael Jaroh led the way with three podium finishes, including a win on parallel bars with a score of 13.550.
🔺 Midwest Matchups. No. 8 Penn State men’s volleyball got its season started over the weekend in Illinois, dropping a pair of ranked matchups against No. 12 Loyola Chicago and No. 14 Lewis.
